2006 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Riesling

Colour: Pale straw with a light green tinge.

Nose: Aromas of orange blossom and jasmine are complexed by delicate lemon peel notes. A good richness of fruit provides strength for the palate, with soft natural acidity ensuring this a great wine to drink young.

Palate: Grapefruit, lemon and lime flavours provide freshness and a lively finish with a delicate chalkiness adding persistence. A hallmark Wynns Coonawarra Estate Riesling.

Maturation: This wine was matured in stainless steel.

Peak Drinking: Now to 2010.

Food Match: Aperitif, Asian & Spicy.

2005 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Chardonnay

Colour: Pale gold with subtle green hue.

Nose: Succulent rich ripe stone fruit characters - white peach, mango and delicate crisp lime notes combine with subtle elegant honey, caramel and vanilla oak undertones.

Palate: Exceptionally well balanced wine, which is dominated by fresh stone fruit and elegant citrus crispness. A generous rich palate provides both fruit weight and creamy fullness, while superb balance between acid and alcohol gives depth and length. The wine finishes with very fine caramel oak characters that is characteristic of Wynns Coonawarra Estate Chardonnay.

Maturation: Selected parcels of this wine was matured for six months in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak.

Peak Drinking: Now to 2011.

Food Match: Aperitif, Chicken, Seafood & Salad.

2005 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Shiraz

Colour: Deep crimson red with subtle purple hues.

Nose: The nose shows intense dark fruit aromas, dominated by plums, raspberries and stewed rhubarb. Well integrated oak components add vanilla depth and eloquence.

Palate: This is a rich, fruit driven, medium bodied wine, dominated by a juicy mid-palate. Classic cool-climate Shiraz characters of leather, cloves and spice are finished with delightful charred oak flavours and velvety tannins.

Maturation: This wine was matured for 12 months in a combination of new (20%) and used (80%) French and American oak.

Peak Drinking: Now to 2015.

Food Match: Beef, Duck, Game & Lamb.

2005 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Cabernet Shiraz Merlot

Colour: Deep cherry red. Bright with a good depth of colour.

Nose: The nose shows aromas of fragrant dark plums and violets.

Palate: A medium bodied wine with flavours of dark berry and plums with an underlying caramel oak texture. Supple tannins and soft acidity complete the offering from a vintage that shows well-defined fruit flavours.

Maturation: This wine was matured for an average of 10 months in a combination of new, one and two-year-old French and American oak.

Peak Drinking: Now to 2010.

Food Match: Beef & Lamb.

2004 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Colour: Deep brick red, with a subtle crimson hue.

Nose: A rich nose with dark, forest fruit aromas, elegant chocolate notes, and that classic, Coonawarra, earthy, herbaceous character.

Palate: A medium bodied, yet succulent wine. There is a good depth of flavour, coupled with a harmonious spectrum of tobacco, violet and leather flavours. The palate is well balanced with the moderate alcohol level contributing to the lingering finish; complemented with well integrated, lightly toasted oak and a pleasant, firm, tannin backbone.

Maturation: This wine was matured for 15 months in a combination of new and used French and American oak.

Peak Drinking: Now to 2020.

Food Match: Beef, Lamb, Game and Duck.

2003 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Michael Shiraz

Colour: Inky black red with a vibrant purple hue.

Nose: Lifted aromas of red cherries with hints of black pepper and cinnamon oak rise from the glass. Exactly what you would expect from an ideal, cooler region shiraz.

Palate: Finely structured yet powerful. Layers of fruit are framed by restrained oak, ensuring this is a wine for the long term. Fleshy red currant and plum flavours flood across the palate, leading to a delicate creamy and spicy oak finish.

Maturation: This wine was matured for 15 months in a combination of new and used French and American oak.

Peak Drinking: Now to 2020.

Food Match: Beef, Duck &Game, Lamb.

2003 Wynns Coonawarra Estate John Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon

Colour: Deep garnet hues.

Nose: Nutty, chocolate aromas gain complexity from hints of fenugreek and blackberry.

Palate: Beautifully integrated fruit and oak give a textured and complex, concentrated palate. The finish is creamy and warm with lingering smoke and coffee flavours. Tight and finely structured, this is an elegant wine with enough powerful fruit and tannins to ensure good aging potential.

Maturation: This wine was matured for 15 months in a combination of new, one and two-year-old French oak.

Peak Drinking: Now to 2015.

Food Match: Lamb, Beef & Cheese.
