Wynns Coonawarra Estate Chardonnay

Oak plays an important but subtle role in this chardonnay with the varietal characters enhanced by an array of winemaking techniques to ensure complexity.

As a young wine it displays a rich amalgam of melon, fig and citrus fruit finely balanced with vanillin oak. There are hints of butterscotch and roasted nuts from malolactic fermentation and barrel maturation.

Bottle ageing is rewarded with increased richness, and peaches, cream and buttered toast characters intensify. From the 2004 vintage, this chardonnay will also be sealed with a screw cap to ensure quality and freshness.
